Anybody watching "Ocean of Fear" on Discovery?

Post by APLATillman »

It's about the crew of the USS Indianapolis and their survival in shark infested waters when their ship went down after it was sunk by a submarine. Man this is an intense show. It is unthinkable what these men had to ordeal. This show is very well done. It is part of Discovery's shark week. If you don't think you have ever heard of the USS Indianapolis, you have if you've seen the movie Jaws. http://youtube.com/watch?v=USnM-ee06pg

Thats what I was thinking about when I saw the ad for the show...I couldn't watch it. The description in Jaws was enough to give me nightmares.
Plus my hubby just left for a fishing trip and I refuse to watch anything with a sinking ship when hes out...

saw it last night. What a horrible time for those poor men. There were a few things I learned about the disaster.

haven't seen it yet but I will. I remember quinn's tale of being a surviver in Jaws. That story he told deeply affected me like much of the movie.

I had on while doing the dishes last night. My 3-year-old son saw an advertisement earlier in the evening for Shark Week and said, "Mama! Sharks! Can we watch it?" Obviously the answer was no.

It was interesting but pretty freaky too. Those poor men.
With a little love and luck, we'll take the sky!
