Apparently they want me to stay at every Hilton in the area, tho...
and there is a Holiday Inn Express (Fairgrounds) that is reasonable and right there if the Red Roof is sold out!
I think Hubby and I are gonna try for tix to this one.........and we're booked at the Holiday Inn Express for Friday and Saturday night. Since we will be driving down from SC, we may be available to pick pholks up from the airport on Friday, if anyone wants to avoid rental car costs. It will depend on when we can get into town.
That's a nice offer. I'd be tempted, but I have no idea when my flight would arrive, as I would need to fly later in the afternoon. I'd hate to make anyone wait on me.

And I know how to get to the Waffle House from there... 8)

Good question. Both DO have the same shaped red roofs... I sure don't know!

Yes, the RRI has two buildings right behind the Wing House.

Also, you can see the string of cars going in the front gate. It looks like you could just walk straight across from the hotel to the tailgate, but there's a chain link fence in-between. If you walk, you'd have to walk in the main gate...or climb the fence. :D

Thanks! So HI and Baymont are slightly closer to tailgate by FOOT, but RRI still seems pretty good. Reserved there Thurs - Sat 8)

Me and the better half could only pull pairs in the 300's so we ended up getting two singles. One in Orch3 row L and one in Orch3 row Q. Got our room booked at the HI and our flight is booked out of Birmingham. Anyone have any ideas on best way from airport to the HI? For once ticketbastards were good to me today. I know they are singles but surely we should be ok.

Holiday Inn by the venue? Super Shuttle will be the fastest..... It used to be called the LIMO.... which I never understood since they are vans...anyway....about 25 miles ....(800) 282-6817 or (727) 572-1111 But a rental car weekend rate may be cheaper if you are over 25.
