Mine, too, Christine...I hope she caught it very very early and it turns out OK for her...

no mention of the surgery procedure, modified radical or lumpectomy, either way...I wish her the best...

Great lady who i had the pleasure to meet on a few occasions...she was a client at a tanning salon i worked at....prayers and phin power to her!!

I did read this one small statement in this article.

Surgery and a follow-up dose of radiation, as opposed to chemotherapy, would indicate that the cancer was detected very early and that there is a very good chance of recovery, said Dr. Julia Smith, director of the New York University Cancer Institute's Breast Cancer Screening and Prevention Program.

I also read this statement about her hair going...

"I will get up like everybody else, I will go to work, I'll say 'Good Morning America,' I will have my good days and bad days, so be kind to me on the message board when I've had my bad days and the hair goes," she joked, then grabbed Sawyer's hand and raised it up. "This is my Thelma. We call ourselves Thelma and Louise, and we're in the convertible right now. Full speed ahead."

i saw that part of the broadcast on the local news and it looked like they were both getting teary! which made me teary! but she is such an AWESOME woman and i am sure she will beat this and be another great inspiration for women fighting this disease!

My mom and aunt are both breast cancer survivors. Robin's tough; she'll fit right in with this survivor crowd!
