HA! I laughed pretty hard at this.
I have questions but they are not appropriate for the board. I will reward myself with a gold star for showing restraint.
Silly silly Vegans.

Don't the vegans realise that they are plant killers? Don't plants have the right to live a full life?

My man
loves red meat, and a good steak as well.

Plus, he'll doink me into next week if I want.

Restraint is for the weak.

unfortunately I have to agree with BB.
Besides, it is a living creature they are swallowing, with a face I might add.

I saw a comedian several years ago (can't remember who) who said, "I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals. I'm a vegetarian because I hate plants!"

I find that pointing vegans at a copy of "The Secret Life of Plants," by Tompkins & Bird, tends to unsettle them - studies that show that plants might well have perception and feelings.
Not to mention the vast number of animals who lose habitat, get poisoned, etc. to grow the average acre of conventional agribusiness crops...or an acre of cotton, for that matter. Vegans tend to conveniently forget all the ways in which their lives require the deaths of animals.
My two favorite buttons on the subject are "Vegetables aren't food; vegetables are what food eats," and "Red meat isn't bad for you - fuzzy blue-green meat is bad for you."

somewhat conscious omnivore
