beg to differ  this song should be course matter in every
high school in the land..

teaches cause and effect.. and the dangers of not meaning what you
say at the time.

Can you tell I have been listening to my daughter's music too much?
 I just had to laugh when I saw this post. I think I'll scream if I hear anything by Dora the Explorer and Little Einsteins. Oh...and the Backyardigans.
Ahhh ...... but The Wiggles are classic. You'll never tire of them (right?).

I called some doof the other day and got the "please enjoy the music
while your party is reached"

it was Barney

Oooh I agree with the above statement...fortunately, I saw a lot of those classic groups, live, in concert, when rock concerts were in their infancy...

anyone else like Steely Dan? Red Rock, Co...another great one!....never saw Seger, though...

those were some wild and crazy days

went through the kiddie music when my children reached that age...

I was out of touch for a while...fortunately it was during.....disco....

And Lordy ...... the same top 10-15 songs repeat over and over and .......

What's really scary is when I forget that I'm driving somewhere w/o the 'keets in the truck and then realize I've been listening to Radio Disney for 45 minutes when I didn't have too.

I told my daughter she was too young to get an iPod but I'm starting to rethink that position. At least she'd be listening to her choice of "music" through earphones.

Today's "classic Rock" are tomorrow's "Golden Oldies", but I have been listening since they were new and cutting edge and dare I say revolutionary. Here off the top of my head are songs these stations have beat to death that I can not listen to anymore, or the overplayed top ten

1. Stairway to Heaven (this started about ten years ago)

2. Satisfaction

3. Black Water (or virtually any Doobie Song)

3. (Tie)Magic Carpet Ride/Born to Be Wild

4. Take the Money and Run-Steve Miller

5. Come Sail Away-Styx

6. Margaritaville

7. American Pie

8. Hotel California

9. Proud Mary

10. Bohemian Rapsody

Who is on yor list??????????????????????
Uh Cubbie?? the whole front side of Hotel California

I'm jumping into this late, but I'm tipsy so it counters that.. :D :D

Magic Carpet Ride I'll always listen to, just cuz of the memory.

use to listen to a "classic rock" station in SF in 94, and finally called an complained when their 3-peat weekend had the same twelve bands w/ maybe seven different songs being repeated. I called in, and the dj said "Led Zep isn't classic?" I said "they are, but so are 100 other bands."

There maybe lots of songs that make the list (except the Dead. Sorry Larry) but I just avoid them when they come on. Too many choices in this day and age to be stuck listening to a PM with an agenda.

to see how many songs he played for that band..
He had to play the whole first album of Night Ranger
and then like 4 songs over...

can't NEARLY match that number, but Spin Doctors in NYC in the early 90's. Couldn't swing a dead cat and not hit a bar they were playing in.

I saw the Spin Doctors a few times-- they weren't that bad. Few years later the lead singer had some kind of throat cancer--- then they did do another tour-and put out a CD. CD wasn't bad at all.

Oh, I'm not saying they were bad. I'm just saying that we could find them on a random Tuesday night playing some local bar.
