There's no way you can smile for a passport photo anyway because you are SO ANGRY after having to redo your picture 5 times!
Even passport photo taking places don't get the sizes right! It took us about 6 times through until it worked...no kidding!!!
If you're planning on going to Tahiti, apply now, expedite it and you may get it in time!
passport...grrrr

When we got our first passport, we did all the paper work, drove to downtown London (half-hour) had everything approved and told to come back in 2 weeks. We did and they said to check it over. My husbands was spelled wrong. Within 10 minutes they had a brand new one made up.
Second was no problem and third was just time consuming. Waited about 1 hour in the office, but then they sent it to us via courier.
We go in Dec of 2008, so we have a little breathing room.
I applied for a job there at the first of this year. My job now is customer service in a bank and has been for 10 years. I have been to almost every Caribbean Island, Mexico a few times, Cuba a few times and all over the US. They told me I didn't have enough customer service experience and enough travel experience. Funny thing is that when the email came....I was in Cuba.
They did tell me if I was an ethnic minority or had a physical disability to re-apply.
Don't think that didn't p*** me off.
Feelin you pain pia!
Reapply and tell them your physical disability IS you're not an ethnic minority!

I didn't have to take mine off and I am positive the passport rules stated that you had to be in "everyday appearance" which specifically mentioned glasses.sonofabeach wrote:I remember I had to take my glasses off too.
They said it was because of the glare which makes sense.
Actually I just looked it up and on the form DS-11 item 3 states that and by the way DS-11 is the passport application form.

You should get it back after they process all the paperwork. When I applied for my passport I wrote to whatever agency it was in NYC (I was born in Brooklyn) that takes care of that stuff so I could get a copy of my birth certificate, I didn't want to mail the original with the passport application. I got the copy back when they sent my passport to me.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
