Margaritaville Orlando

Post by 2ParrotMedics »

As the ticker can testify, We are headed to the Keys soon! On the way down, we are staying in Orlando. We want to go to Margaritaville, but 1 question. Is it in Universal Studios? I've been to their website, but cant seem to get an answer! Whats going to be the best way to get there? THANKS!!!!

It's in Universal's Citywalk, Not in the Universal park itself....

If you go after 7pm you can park free of charge at the Universal parking lot.

Actually, the lots are free after 6PM; $11 before then

after you park in the Universal-Orlando parking lots, follow the moving sidewalks to Citywalk.
Margaritaville is straight ahead on the left, the last restaurant before crossing the bridge to Islands of Adventure.

There are three places to enter; the main restaurant entrance is at the front corner, the gift shop is just to the right of the main entrance, the Porch of Indecision (outdoor dining) is further to the right, just before crossing the bridge. The Hemisphere Dancer (Jimmy's old seaplane) is across the walkway from the Porch; drinks are good there, the limited food menu is not good.

Will have to make a Pilgrimage in November!

The time changes if there are special evening events scheduled. During Holloween Horror Nights (most of October) the parking fees apply until 7PM.

Come on over! Most of us here in Orlando love our visitors from across the pond; and with the dollar currently quite weak against the pound, it is a relatively inexpensive visit for y'all!

by the way; if you are a regular visitor over here, you probably know of the best pub in Orlando - the Cricketers Arms Pub. It has relocated from its old location in the Mercado Center on International Drive to a new location at the North end of International Drive in Festival Bay Mall.

Yes we are regular visitors, :D and NO, the Cricketers is NOT the best pub in town  The "Stage Door" on 192 west, is the best Brit pub in town :) :)
Sad to say, we are not going to MOM, we are visiting The Villages, where we hope to buy a new house :) but if we have enough time after business is done, we may take a trip south
A friend of ours has a business is Festival Bay. I though this part of I drive was on the way out??

Festival Bay has been slow to get organized, but is doing well lately.

I like the new Cricketers alot; we also like the Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney Downtown, even though it is a little too large and touristy to call itself a proper pub.

Seriously, you should try the "Stage Door". We normally stay away from Brit owned establishments when we travel overseas, but this place is great. The owner and his son Jason, give a real warm welcome!
Even our sons like it, and they are 30 & 31 years old, and not easy to please !!

Not too far away, so we will definitely give them a visit!

Thanx.

how it works is that there is one huge parking area that connects by skyways and such to the entrance of city walk where M'Ville, House of Blues, Emerils, etc. are. When go into city walk, Universal Studios will be toward your right and Islands of Adventure (and M'ville) will be toward your right.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Actually, House of Blues is in the WestSide of Downtown Disney, next to Cirque d' Soleil.

You will pass Emeril's (on your left) just before you get to Margaritaville.

Right, I was trying to remember what restaurants are in CityWalk...didn't really remember where any of the restaurants were besides Margaritaville.

I recommend the loaded corona (a Corona with a shot of tequila) and a Cheeseburger in Paradise. Then a Bahama Mama in the Lone Palm where you can sit under the Hemisphere Dancer.

I also love the Cuban Meatloaf Sandwich. The Corn and Crab Chowder is also excellent.
