Grew up with one, met the other at 14 they got married and now have grown up keets in the group, and meet others at shows. Hope to attend a local phlocking soon.

Started seeing Buffett in concert in 1992...a friend that i played baseball with got me hooked.....as far as BNer's i 1st met Zuke at Jones Beach in 2004 i believe.....and from then on met different BNer's in a bunch of different cities.....i think one of the 1st group i met was Connie, Lynn and BEG in Tampa in 2005....now it's like a family reunion when we get together!!!...and now the list seems to grow every show!!

It is pretty much like anywhere - you get out of it what you put in to it.

sure there are people on here that you get on better with - and some you would rather fall off the face of the internet - but that happens anywhere.

I have met a few BN'ers and most of them are pretty good people ... even Michi and Z

VERY memorable experience!

Joined here and started on the Detroit thread. Talked to a few and when I got to the concert I went searching for some familiar names. Saw the DPH sign, got offered jello and they are my bestest phriends now!!!!
I think chatting is easiest way to start. Then meet up in a parking lot Hopefully there will be a Buffett concert on and you don't end up in the trunk of a car....well, that has been known to happen at a Buffett concert too.

I lived right off the 1st and 2nd exits in Florida before I moved over to the Gulf...

When Pooh & Joe were driving down to KW for MOTM...they stopped and we met....Going, and coming back...

Same with Big Hat Carmen, and Capt Cougie....

Then the Hurricane Relief Concert was announced and I met a few there, and have shared hotel rooms with several....(yep, before we met.. )

Shows, Phlockings, Topless Phlockings...Another couple on here came to visit me , to go to a House Concert with Mark Mulligan and spent the weekend.....and I have stayed at their house too....Phone calls in between....

Hoot Island, last year, in Dallas...was incredible! Over 200 of us in one place...and most of us never walked the lot, or left our tailgate, at all! It was just wonderful.....

And more phone calls in between......

Like Don's sig line on here says.....Most of my Best Friends are people I've never met.....

and we have to add "yet" to that ...

and it's all good!

In some cases, first contact was via the phone (DD's are an institution amongst BNers).
Then last September I met a whole nestful at the Topless Phlocking. Yeah, I flew from PA to Florida for a party hosted by someone I'd never met. Hell, I'd never even met any of the other guest. And after 5 minutes it was like being with old friends - even got to witness an engagement. It was such a miserable experience, I'm doing it again this year.
Met some more at the Tampa concert in November and met about a gazillion more at the 2 Texas shows this year.
If you're going to a concert, just look for the "Who's going to ...... " thread and jump right in. You'll end up at a helluva tailgate surrounded by dozens (or hundreds!) of your new closest friends.

If you're real lucky, you might even get lei'd by Santa!

Met my Smiffer Sisters (Renee and Penny) and a PHC meeting in Denver as well as Happy Shark, BearPhin and Mamma Bear They got me hooked on BN.

On a trip to Chicago to see my old college roomie, I met the infamous Captain P and Tiki Bar. A most fun and wonderful lunch.

Had the pleasure of bunking with Balcony Girls and meeting Gulf Breeze over Thanksgiving . . . thanks for taking such good care of me!

A Christmas trip to Nashville, TN to stay with family led me to a lunch with the Rev, Goat & GrammaC . . . weren't we a crew.

Next was Topless Phlocking in February with many new faces.

Met Dawgfan and fam during their trip to HHI . . . very special pholks!

And again, another Topless Phlocking last September where the broken nose/pool incident occurred And, of course, the engagement.

Can't wait to see/meet many more of you again!!
