This weekend is Coast Guard Fest here in Grand Haven, Michigan. Last night was beer tent night.
There was a guy named Michael "Beans" Gardner playing in one of the beer tents. He has some sort of endorsement deal with Pussers Rum and they were selling Pussers Rum Painkillers.
The Painkillers were outstanding. I think we had at leat a half dozen each.
Have any of u had this drink before? How about ever see Michael "Beans" Gardner before? I think he's the in house entertainment for a bar in Marina Caye somewhere in the British Virgins.
Long, fun night making for a slow painful Saturday.

Had these at Pusser's Pub at a sailboat show in Annapolis. Yummy and deadly. They are very good with fresh grated nutmeg on top. I got a cool little metal mug with mine that I still use.

I am going to mix one up now
The infamous Pusser's Painkiller®—the drink we are known for throughout the West Indies, in the U.S. and many parts of Europe!
The Painkiller® is a blend of Pusser's Rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top. You have a choice of numbers 2, 3 or 4, which designate the amount of Pusser's Rum! Cheers!
Painkiller #2 ... 2 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #3 ... 3 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #4 ... 4 parts Pusser's Rum

Last night the Painkillers were wonderful.
Today I can barely make it out of the house.

Pussers sells their Painkiller mix on their website. Of course you can make your own, but it's also available pre-mixed. You add the rum of course.
I'd bet some of the larger liquor stores may carry the mix. They'd also carry the fixin's you'd need to make your own.

I had my first at the tailgate in Pittsburgh in June. Quite tasty.

Michael Beans is most amusing. Pusser's rum is just bad rum. Even Beans refers to it as Bilge cleanarrrrrrrr. If you are in the BVI, you should make it a point to see his show.

Is Michael Beans who throws out little nip bottles of booze during his show? I think he's the guy that played at the Rum Barrel in Key West when they first opened.
