For those of us who are staying north of Foxboro, what about meeting at a Courtyard by Marriott in Norwood and then driving down to the End Zone?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

you can always take the back roads down ....loop around to 140 and come out near the End Zone...or Jump on 95 south and get off on the 140 exit and turn right onto 1 north and be right at the end zone!!aeroparrot wrote:For those of us who are staying north of Foxboro, what about meeting at a Courtyard by Marriott in Norwood and then driving down to the End Zone?

That is by far the easiest way to do it.TommyBahama wrote:you can always take the back roads down ....loop around to 140 and come out near the End Zone...or Jump on 95 south and get off on the 140 exit and turn right onto 1 north and be right at the end zone!!aeroparrot wrote:For those of us who are staying north of Foxboro, what about meeting at a Courtyard by Marriott in Norwood and then driving down to the End Zone?
Our plans aren't 100% concrete yet, but we're leaning toward being in the regular Gillette parking lot. I know the "super secret" back way out of Gillette and my boyfriend lives about 1.5 miles away from the Stadium.

If I did that, I would head down 1-A and hook up on Route 1 near Coney Street.TommyBahama wrote:you can always take the back roads down ....loop around to 140 and come out near the End Zone...or Jump on 95 south and get off on the 140 exit and turn right onto 1 north and be right at the end zone!!aeroparrot wrote:For those of us who are staying north of Foxboro, what about meeting at a Courtyard by Marriott in Norwood and then driving down to the End Zone?

Tailgating @ Foxboro Terminals
OK...I did my homework for the 9/2 show and I thought I'd share it with the 9/8 crowd...heck, I might even go on the 8th too...that is if I can drag a buddy with me! We have 35+ going in a bus on the 2nd...I'll be able to report back to you 8th folks too....
I think this may be a good place, in additon to the End Zone, if we could be SURE they'd open the parking to concert goers early:
Foxboro Terminals
208 North Street
http://maps.superpages.com:80/mapbaseds ... ne=3542794
It's right behind Gilette...a shipping hub, you can see it and part of the Gillette Stadium parking lot in the same ariel photo I've linked in. There's even electricity to plug into, or at least there was when I went to a Pats game and parked there 5 years ago! You can cut right down a path by the train station to get to and from the lots of Gillette and this lot is a 5 minute walk!!
I called Foxboro Terminals and they said they were opening "about 4 hours before" but I'd imagine as the event draws near that their position will change. We're in a full sized 47 passenger bus and they told me they CAN ACCOMAODATE BUSES.
I hate to break up the End Zone rally...this place is SUPER close plus you can cut down North Street to Beach Street to 95 and never touch Route 1 traffic post show!!!
If we lobby these guys to assure they'll open early this could be a place for the "second wave" of us Parrotheads as, unfortunately, our group won't get there 'till NOON and I'm thinking the End Zone parking lot will be full by then. The End Zone might be a harder sell as well for those lesser Parrotheads in our bunch, it being a long walk and far removeed from the bulk of the action.
Sorry to chime in so late...it would be nice to get some support for this spot too so we're not on our own over there! I'm there if I can talk to someone that'll tell me they'll take us when we show...we coud even roam the Gillette parking lots and come back to the bus from this spot...
Thoughts?

Re: Tailgating @ Foxboro Terminals
Not easy if your coming from 495....i'll stick with the End Zone....a walk from The End Zone isn't a long walk to me.....park on the far end of greatwoods and walk..it's about the same!!!...what are they charging for parking??? for those who might want to do this!!.....mine is included at the End Zone so i'll stick it out there!!!RedSoxParrotHead wrote:OK...I did my homework for the 9/2 show and I thought I'd share it with the 9/8 crowd...heck, I might even go on the 8th too...that is if I can drag a buddy with me! Foxbor Terminals
Not sure how much they're charging. I was just reading an article that said it was $40 for a Pats game...
The article also said there were 300 spots. Kinda small but everyone always reccomends this lot for Pats games...I guess Season ticket holders all have their favorites.

I've heard most lots are charging $50+ for Buffett.. just a heads up. If you're in a club, check with them. I've heard they are working out some details on a lot.
