kinda grew up watching his talk show with the folks at 6:00pm weeknights
he was real smooth

Back in '78, I went up to Hollywood with my sister to try out for Wheel of Fortune :o
and it was taped at the Merv Griffin Theatre at Hollywood Blvd. and Vine.
I'll never forget that first journey to the Walk of Fame...
