I guess the non-drinking Parrotheads would be called the Designated Parrots. Or a totally different flock, the Toucanheads. No, that sounds like you had 2 cans of sump'n.....Flamingoheads? :pirate:

Your typical Dead crowd isn't, well, "sober". They definitely are in an altered state though. I never did that (you all know what I mean) at the couple of Dead shows I went to. It wasn't my thing.

As for beer and Buffett, as I've gotten older, I've drank less at his shows and have really enjoyed myself. I can actually remember them now! Plus, it's fun to watch very, very, very drunk people. [smilie=pimp.gif]
depends on how close they get to you. sometimes they get really annoying...

Yep. When you've been knocked down on the lawn for the 3rd time...it ceases to be funny...
Or when you are on the lawn and a fight breaks out, not fun at all. I actually don't really ever get drunk at a concert, I like to be in control and enjoy the show. I am sure there are a lot of ph's who are sober....

umm.. so that wasn't you who put down a good 1/3 of the bottle of tequila in Cinci this year? :D

I can't make it to Irvine  but wanted to add one more sober Parrothead to the list. I feel left out sometimes, because there's so much focus on alcohol in the songs, on these news boards, and at the parties. However, I'm in it for the attitude, not the booze. It's the child in us we really value...

I enjoy getting as f'd up as I can get and then the next day seeing how much I remember :o 8) I have witnesses to these type happenings. Sober is not a way of life for me at a Buffet concert or otherwise.

Sober parrotheads? I've heard of them

Actually I should try it.
Last year at Tampa I was fubar at one point.
When I returned to my Jeep at showtime to get my ticket which was under the passenger floor mat I found that the floorboard was an inch deep in rum. Luckily they still let me and my soaked and falling apart ticket in.
Still don't know how I managed to fill the floor with rum but my brother let me hear some of my drunk ramblings that I left on his phone.
The most fitshaced that I've ever been was at Jim Morris' Fishstock back in 2000. I don't remember much of the show at all but the parking lot was fun.
AAAAAAAH Good Times!

If I had it all to do over again...........................

I don't drink any more at Buffett shows. Of course, I don't drink any less, either.

I hear you. Ever try Barbancourt? That is (at least from what I have tried) good in the 4, the 8, and the 15 year versions.
