Nope, just a very strong swimmer. I was more worried about the color of the liquid than the size of the vessel. I don't do blue!RinglingRingling wrote:took advice and wore a lifejacket, did you?bubba phan wrote:"Almost" doesn't count!RinglingRingling wrote:so you almost drowned in the lake that is Barry's margarita glass.bubba phan wrote:Well, considering I was having difficulty drinking out of a simple beer bottle that day, I did pretty well.RinglingRingling wrote: did it break over you like a wave when you tipped it up?

It brought joy to some, sorrow to others, and happiness for everyone watching.
I think this year we may "supersize" the wheel if time permits.

I think you are talking about mcdinton's. It is a younger crowd. Its like potbellies (the FSU greek bar) but everyone is graduated and older.Feesh wrote:Yes, Channelside is pretty cool. There are some cool bars in Hyde Park area also. One Irish bar I've been to is $10 all you can drink for happy hour. It's packed and pretty cool...more of a younger crowd.seminolegrl06 wrote:being honest.
I hear channelside is nice. I have never been though.

There's a few right across the street from the venue (see Barry's map on page 1). Some might be booked up at this point though. We stayed at the Red Roof last year - no complaints. This year we're coming in on Wednesday and hanging around till Monday so we're staying out by the Gulf and commuting to the concerts.kitty wrote:I am actually considering this...it's been way too long sionce I've gotten together with a BN crowd...looking into airfare...any advice about hotels??

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Ybor... The Columbia. Excellent sangria, even better Cuban food.ToplessRideFL wrote:Its Berns ....in South Tampa and while its outstanding for cozy dinner.... its alot of $$$$ for a batchlor party meal. However..... nice if you can afford it.seminolegrl06 wrote:
Also correct me if I am wrong but I believe there is a steakhouse a legendary one in tampa... called "burns" (again locals correct me if I am wrong) that would make for an excellent guy meal of beer, steaks, and cigars.
What about partying in Ybor or Channelside. They both are designated party zones.
