Well, considering I was having difficulty drinking out of a simple beer bottle that day, I did pretty well.

Nope, just a very strong swimmer. I was more worried about the color of the liquid than the size of the vessel. I don't do blue!

I hear channelside is nice. I have never been though.
Yes, Channelside is pretty cool. There are some cool bars in Hyde Park area also. One Irish bar I've been to is $10 all you can drink for happy hour. It's packed and pretty cool...more of a younger crowd.
I think you are talking about mcdinton's. It is a younger crowd. Its like potbellies (the FSU greek bar) but everyone is graduated and older.

There's a few right across the street from the venue (see Barry's map on page 1). Some might be booked up at this point though. We stayed at the Red Roof last year - no complaints. This year we're coming in on Wednesday and hanging around till Monday so we're staying out by the Gulf and commuting to the concerts. 8)

I'm staying at the Residence Inn a couple of miles down the road from the pavilion. As of when I booked, they had room.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Also correct me if I am wrong but I believe there is a steakhouse a legendary one in tampa... called "burns" (again locals correct me if I am wrong) that would make for an excellent guy meal of beer, steaks, and cigars.
Its Berns ....in South Tampa and while its outstanding for cozy dinner.... its alot of $$$$ for a batchlor party meal. However..... nice if you can afford it.

What about partying in Ybor or Channelside. They both are designated party zones.

Ybor... The Columbia. Excellent sangria, even better Cuban food.
