In my opinion.
I enjoy a lot of the acts down in Key West. A lot of them are great. A few of them are not good at all.
The best shows down there I have seen are Club Trini, Mac McAnally, and the Peter Mayer Group is always sensational. I think the PM show is really a whole 'nother level of music. I was disappointed when JB interrupted PM's show, although I did enjoy JB's performance.
I like Jimmy Buffett a lot, but I could care less if he shows up down in Key West. I think if you go down there wanting to see JB, you are missing the point. Say hello to people and enjoy music.
That said, I have little doubt as to JB's motives for holding it that week. The Almighty Dollar. Like most, successful businessmen--he knows that money talks. I can't blame him! I actually like the fact that he is a businessman first and foremost. If it comes between fan service and making cash, cash wins everytime.
Look at his empire and I think you will see that Money is the first priority.

Ok thats funny creeky!! Just when is he going to tell us...LOL!!creeky wrote:Just wondering how we are going with the explanation .... have we done it yet
And I agree that the CRB bands were the best music. I get sick of the cover bands after a day. I think a couple of bands I am going to see in bars instead of at the casa because they wont play as much Buffett.
IE: Jimmy and the parrots and Tall Paul, Hugo Duarte.
