Geeze, just be glad he's still touring, writing music, writing books, opening casinos, opening restaurant chains and being an all-around role model for a lot of us.
I think sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees and forget how lucky we are he's not retired yet. So we have to wait a few more months for his next best-selling book? I think we'll all make it.
In the mean time, let's count our blessings and be thankful for the many years and myriad art Jimmy's already given to us.

Role model? Not at all. Punctuality is the key to life. If you are never on time, how can anyone ever truly TRUST that person.
And if you can't truly trust that person what makes them an "all-round role model"

The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Welll.
You know Buffett gave us his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish?
All you have to do is buy his books and music and I can guarantee you he will not retire.

If you think punctuality is the key to life, you must live an incredibly, mind-numbingly boring life. I trust a lot of people that have never let me down and their punctuality has never been a factor in that.Big Jimmy wrote:trojan_sixtyone wrote: being an all-around role model for a lot of us.

And if you don't think Jimmy is some kind of role model, why do you hang around here? Just curious.

I don't look at Jimmy Buffett (or any musician or celebrity for that matter) as some sort of "role model" yet I "hang around here". Is it some sort of prerequisite for being a Buffett fan?trojan_sixtyone wrote:And if you don't think Jimmy is some kind of role model, why do you hang around here? Just curious.

I can't speak for Big Jimmy but I hang around here for 2 reasons: 1. I like Buffett's music; and 2. I have a lot of friends here.trojan_sixtyone wrote:If you think punctuality is the key to life, you must live an incredibly, mind-numbingly boring life. I never thought of Jimmy Buffett as a role model. I live my life, not his.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
