A local dive club from KC is putting on a diving event in Cozumel this week. It started on Saturday and is supposed to last until the 25th.

Wow, Jamaica and the Caymans were pretty lucky, ^^^^^ power to Mexico and all those in this storms path... We just spoke to our friends in Jamaica and they faired out okay, lots of damage where they live, thank god that is all they have to face.

tons and tons of prayers and phin power....

our friends from belize... patojo and his family have been in the states on vacation for the past month...they just visited us...i talked to one of his daughters yesterday and he just got back to belize yesterday and everyone else stayed in florida....he has to board up the condos and their house and move all the boats to the back side of the island....i am so nervous for them...

BTW, tell them to plan their vacation a little better next year so you don't have to cancel a trip to NY.

i have a not so good update....

my dad just talked to someone in San Pedro in the north end of town, most
docks have fairly minor damage. Patojo's dock is gone, dive shop and all...

the hurricane hit mostly northern Belize, but 85% of the docks were destoryed on Ambergris Caye (the island our friends live on) everyone is saying how it could be much worse on the island but to lose all of those docks is still a big deal
