Party Bus to Gillette on 9/2?

Post by Lostarlake »

Anybody taking a party bus, or know of any Boston bars running a bus trip to the show? My 3 friends and I are flying in Sunday morning and would prefer a bus over renting a car. The only thing is, for us to make the bus it’d have to leave after 12:30. If anyone knows of anything I’d appreciate the info. This concert is going to be great, fins up!

We're looking for something like that as well, there's 4 of us going, we'd love to get on a bus with some fellow Jimmy lovers!

We are staying at the Doubletree Suites in Boston and we are trying to figure out how to get to Foxboro on 9/2 without driving. Maybe we can all charter a bus or limo together!

Party Bus

Post by RedSoxParrotHead »

I have a bus leaving Weymouth at 10:30AM. We're driving to Plymouth from there and then to Foxboro, arriving sometime around 12:30-1PM. Plymouth first stop on the way back, leaving Foxboro around midnight, and then Weymouth...probably getting back to Weymouth sometime around 1AM or so. There's a t-stop in Braintree that's a $10 cab ride from my place...

Our bus holds 47 people and we currently have 27 on it so we HAVE ROOM. Guess it's a gamble inviting total strangers along...but what the hell! I like to think all us parrotheads can lean on one another...I know we do in the parking lots!

Get in touch if you want further details...I kind of have it worked out with everyone as a pckage deal...Bus, food & booze.... :)

Fellow Brian- I think that if you add a Boston stop on your party bus- you will fill it easily. I count ten parrotheads here looking for a ride, and I think they are all coming from Boston. Lots of us are staying in Boston, and there is no way to get to Foxboro on the Commuter Rail. Even if you just bring the bus to the red line station in Braintree, that would help. We could all take the red line from South Station. By the way, I used to live on Commercial St in Braintree!- Brian

You're right- only a Boston pickup would work because of the return ride. North or South Station, or even Logan Airport would work best because there are cabs there.

While I'd like to add a third stop, I was pushing it by adding Weymouth in the first place...Adding Boston would add 2 hours onto the charter.

The red line goes to Briantree and cabs can be easily be had from there to my place in Weymouth Landing. That's the best I can offer.

To all you stranded Bostonians: Move to the burbs! :)
