If you knew someone on the inside that could get access to what backstage passes look like a day or two in advance, you could easily make a convincing duplicate and sneak in. Every concert passes out more backstage passes than get redeemed (I know from personal experience), so unless the odd occurrence of every single pass getting redeemed occurs, you'd probably be in the clear.

The tough part would be knowing 1) where to go, 2) what time to show up and 3) the code word. Most tours use a single backstage pass for every show, but have a secret word for each show they write with Sharpie on the validated passes, so that they know which pass is for which show, and to keep someone with a pass from selling it to others for future dates.

But, it could be done. Depends on how bad you want it and the risk you are willing to take. If you got caught, more than likely they'd just escort you to your seat (if you're a smooth talker or are really pretty, you might be able to get in backstage anyway). Worse case scenario, obviously, is getting kicked out of the venue before the show starts. Then you'd be double-screwed. :D

None of what you describe is how Jimmy's crew does it.

You are exactly right Larry, I have been backstage at 2 of Jimmy's shows and 2 other artist shows and none of them were handled as above stated

I've been backstage at 4 of Jimmy's shows and that's not even close to the procedure.

Just putting in my two cents of how it's done where I have worked. Guess I should've kept my mouth shut.

I have a story about backstage at Wrigley.

Heather and Louisa came off stage for a quick costume change. They don't bother to go into dressing rooms.... :o
