Cops Stop Team Drunk Driving Effort

ABBOTSFORD, Wis. (AP) -- Two Dorchester men driving one truck at the same time were arrested for drunken driving in the Abbotsford area about 170 miles northwest of Madison.

Harvey J. Miller, 43, who has no legs, steered the 1985 Chevrolet truck while Edwin H. Marzinske, 55, operated the brake and gas pedals, according to a report from the Colby/Abbotsford police.

Miller, who was sitting in the driver's seat, admitted he'd had too much to drink but argued that he wasn't really operating the truck since he had no legs to push the pedals, the report said. He received a citation for a third drunken driving offense.

Marzinske was cited for a second drunken driving offense. Both men also were cited for driving after their licenses had been revoked.

A third man in the truck, also drunk, walked himself home after the Aug. 18 traffic stop, police said.

There may be a trend here.... :o This was in the news this spring....

Forty-year-old Michael Francis Wiley is kind of amazing.
He’s also going to be spending five years in prison.Wiley is the armless driver of Florida. He also has only one leg.And an impressive rap sheet.

Wiley who taught himself to drive after losing both arms and a leg in an electrical accident at the age of 13 has already spent more than three years in prison for habitually driving without a license, kicking a state trooper and various and sundry other charges.

But can he drive while talking on a cell phone and eating a cheeseburger?

...and if he can, I don't want to know what he's steering with.
