It's not dislike, we just enjoy making fun of someone vertically challanged. Hang around this site long enough and this will come up again. Personally I've seen him twice. The last time in Champaign, the first was at the McLean County fair back in the '90's performing on the back of a flat bed trailer before he made it big.
Vertically-challenged comes up a little short.. kinda like Kenny.

We just keep serving them up and Ringling just keeps spiking 'em down. Your making coffee come out my nose. (This isn't normal for me, usually its beer).

Chesney is cool, but to put him and Jimmy on the same playing field is just so wrong in so many ways.....

especially if the playing field is normal-sized...
mercy is for the weak.

Chesney and Jimmy together: uh, I don't think so

you know, pound for pound, and at his size, that isn't a lot.. Kenny is positively ant-like in his superhuman strength..

R2 isn't that clever. You're just making it WAY too easy.

Wow. What's Chesney putting in the Kool-Aid these days?
I will admit
that I like a couple of Chesney's songs.
But to bring Buffett, a classic singer-songwriter, down to Chesney is like comparing Star Wars to Spaceballs. They're both space movies. Spaceballs has its moments, but it's not the classic like Star Wars is.
Dark Helmet=Chesney?
oh now this is just a riff-line I am not going to run with today

Let's comb Gillette Stadium.

But not before 3:30pm. Or is it 4:30pm. I forget.
Kenny would be more like Yogurt, from a stature stand point that is.

I'm pretty sure it's happened at least once before, Nashville in April, 2003.

That is classic.
We actually would have gone up tonight to the NYState Fair to see him if we didn't have a more important concert this weekend.
The Ruttles Reunion Tour stop?
Something like that.

I'd think given a choice between a "39th Anniversary of the Roadshow edition of "Hair" comes to Syracuse" and a Cheeseney show...

At first I thought you said Dick Cheney....
Then I realized, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Without the hat, Chesney looks just like Cheney:

And Jimmy hasn't been allowed back in Nashville since....

The anti-Chesney feelings on this board truly amaze me. I had the opportunity to see my first Chesney concert this summer at PNC Bank Arts Center and it was awesome. Great tailgate...Sugarland did a great job opening (after Pat Green) and Kenny put on a tremendous show.
I believe this thread started with a fellow parrothead suggesting would it not be great for Chesney to "SHOW UP" at Foxboro this Sunday. The poster did not say anything about Chesney putting on his own concert, or even playing a couple of songs, he/she just thought it would be cool for Chesney to perhaps sing License to Chill with Jimmy...I mean Mac writes songs for both Chesney and Jimmy for God's sake.
Never once did the poster say Kenny is better than Buffett or anything even close to that. The fact is that Jimmy is not going to be around forever (unfortunately for all of us) and I for one am looking for a similiar type of "concert environment." I think I found one with Chesney. Agree or disagree, but that is what I have seen first hand.
Can't wait until September 20th when Jimmy rolls into MSG!!!! Let the vertically challenged jokes about Chesney continue (some are pretty funny).

Well, the Midget Rodeo (complete with dancing Shetland ponies) was in NYC last night.

Actually, we did see a Hair revival this summer already.

There were boobies. And I don't think they were actually smoking weed onstage, but they sure replicated the smell accurately. At least I think it was accurate, I'm sure I wouldn't know about things like that.
I am bummed to miss the State Fair this year though. Gotta love deep fried macaroni & cheese.

Well, I'm not sure if Chesney will show up...but don't be surprised if you see Bankie Banx there!

Yeah Snake, I wrote a review of the KC show here, yes it was a luke warm review, I prefaced it by saying I am not as big a fan as my wife,, but I was stunned when it opened a huge can of worms.. Kenny Bashing is an official sport here I spose.
Griz goes for popcorn.....
