I'd take any of those covers you mentioned, including Glory Days over WDWGD. I'm glad he dropped it from the setlist
I definitely agree with "dropping" WDWGDAS - definitely my least favourite Buffett tune.
Nothing wrong with an occassional cover tune (personally I like Southern Cross) but I am definitely not liking Glory Days (again just personal taste).
I would love to hear more from Fruitcakes and as many tunes from A-1-A as he wants to play!
I saw the show in Toronto on September 5th, 2007 and he can do "Heart of Gold" anytime he chooses (loved it!)!

No list of bad tunes covered by Buffett is complete unless Trippin' Billies is right at the top of the list. Or bottom, depending on your point of view.

The differences in tastes of all of us here on BN never ceases to amaze me.
And just reading this thread proves to me that no matter what Jimmy plays he cannot please all of us.
So I vote he just please himself.
Just to mention a few of my least faves....which I know are faves to others....
Scarlet Begonias (much prefere Uncle John's Band)
Dixie Chicken
Glory Days
Southern Cross (wouldn't mind hearing it now and then, but not every show)
Love some covers...
Banana Republics
Brown Eyed Girl
Oh, and I LOVE Everybody's on the Phone

That's what he should cover: "Garden Party" by Ricky Nelson:
Well, it's all right now.
I learned my lesson well.
You can't please everybody,
You just got to please yourself.
I paraphrased a little, my memory ain't what it used to be..

unless he changes his already changed take on Bruce's lyricis that is
)

Uh huh. Or most anything else by Gordon Lightfoot.
