Okay, so lots of people would rather hear a JB song. Try this... Recommend a replacement song for Glory Days. Rules are, it has to be the same tempo, same general "rock factor" if you will, to maintain the setlist tempo. You gotta replace an apple with and apple, not an orange. (Much as I LOVE Someday I Will, for instance, it won't work here...) It has to be from a studio or compilation album (some of those songs ARE covers, I know, I know, but them's the rules on this one :D )

Some of my picks:

Great Filling Station Holdup
Peanut Butter Conspiracy
Woman Going Crazy on Caroline Street
Boat Drinks
Landfall
Livingston Saturday Night
Coconut Telegraph
Everybody's On The Run
Gypsies in the Palace
Desperation Samba
Last Mango in Paris
King of Somewhere Hot
Pascagoula Run
Fruitcakes
Lage Nom Ai
Blue Guitar
USS Zydecoldsmobile

Not counting anything newer than FSOTW, since the newer ones already get played.

I concur! :wench:
Triple the concurrance (sp?) 8)

I can't stand the way in which JB covers this one [smilie=puking.gif]

I was even trying to be an honest broker..... USS Zydecoldsmobile isn't one of my favorite songs, by a LONG shot.... :o

Personally, I don't particularly dislike Glory Days. I think it's a pretty rocking song. But I'm not a big Springsteen fan (never been to a show, not planning on it) and I'd much rather hear one more JB tune.

If I were to pick an up tempo JB song to replace this one.....it would most definitely be Lage Nom Ai......I can't sit still listening to it at home on the stereo.....can only imagine the hideous white girl dance that I could do listening to it live!!

I just don't like the song. Jimmy does a lot of covers, I agree, but lately it seems that he's covering songs that you really can't enjoy(I guess), I mean I'm all for the Beach Boys, but why play a slow Beach Boys songs an the ender to your concert? When I leave and head back to the lot I'm all for keeping the party going, but a slow song just kills my adrenaline...especially if it's cover that I don't like or don't know. I'd be fine if he ended every show at the Southern Cross...

I would rather hear almost anything else than Glory Days. It's been overplayed by Springsteen, the radio and Jimmy. Agree with the other tunes suggested, just an upbeat one would be nice. I am a Springsteen fan and will be at his show in Philly and it would be okay with me if he didn't play it either.

The song is 'ok' in a 'glad JB is singing something instead of nothing' kind of way, but would MUCH rather have a JB song.

I live in NO CAL and it looks like were gonna get blanked this year. I would not care if Jimmy sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Mary Had A Little Lamb at this point

It stinks. Jimmy butchers it but in fairness I think Bruce Springsteen stinks too.

But almost every JB show I've been to ended with a slow song..
