Jerry probably knew the person, and was getting him back for something they said to him most likely. Calling someone an Illiterate fag is not really that offensive. If he called him an Illiterate (edit) fag, yea that may be offensive to SOME.

You MUST give Jerry all the props. For the great times and laugh he had with Dean Martin.... without him....Lots of comedy would have never been there.

Apparently it was one of the stage hands or something. Jerry came out and apologized today, after GLAAD or one fo those groups complained. CNN reporting that they have accepted the apology.

Jerry said that he feels so at home on the telethon that he forgets that some people watching don't know him or his sense of humor, or something to that effect.

yeah, but that was what? 50 years ago? Uncle Miltie was then too, and he wasn't the nicest of human beings either.

I know, and IMHO Its sad and degrading to a human being when they have to apologize to GLAAD.

I never heard of GLADD.
Who are they? Some kook-fringe outfit that goes out and looks for "rent-a-victims"?

Sorry Typo on my part GLAAD. Its one of those flamboyant organizations that is just as bad as Jesse Jackass and his Rainbow Push.

Thanks, Paige.
At least they're not the A.C.L.U., and I'm sure they do good things, but they really need to lay off Dr. Laura.

All I am gonna say on this is Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. I am not a fan of this whole Homosexual crap--- It sickens me more then most things, and yes even this BS war we are in the middle right now. Hell--few years ago at a family Christmas, I had to leave in the middle of it because of my cousin ( who I have said maybe 15 words to in the last 15 years) and his if you want to call boyfriend/lover/partner were doing. My upbrings always taught me that that was wrong, and it is. Well thats my opinion. Some of you it may not bother that much.

Yeah, let's just be derogatory and offensive...... Not saying you have to agree with everyone's lifestyle, but there's no need to be an a$$..... :-? :-? :-?

Agreed Jen.

Big Jimmy, maybe you may not agree with their lifestyle, but have you ever tried to get to know either of them as a person, and not base your opinions of them by their actions? I have several friends who are gay and they are some of the nicest and most generous people I know. You may not agree with their lifestyle or actions, but it doesnt mean that they deserve to be treated differently or ignored. They deserve as much respect as you and I do.

In my opinion.
