He's a lawyer who became a senator who became an actor who played a lawyer so he could become president?
j/k - I really don't know that much about his political convictions but he seems to be a breath of fresh air.

Just to correct the timeline, he's a lawyer who became an actor who became a senator who went back to being an actor ...
I remember seeing him on Wiseguy back in the 80s and he didn't become a senator until 1994.
