Thank You Miles Hampton and RM!

Post by Mr Play »

As many know, the RM feed from the Toronto started out crappy and got worse from there.
It was so bad that RM decided to pull the plug after the first few songs.

While the concert was still going on, Miles Hampton took the time to post in the setlist thread, asking us to join him for a quick chat. In the chatroom he told us he would read off the setlist once the concert was over. He also mentioned that RM is getting a clean recording onsite to (hopefully) replay the concert soon. Apparently they escalated the issue with a Canadian Telco company but they just couldn't get it resolved.

I just wanted to give props to Miles for thinking of us here and letting us know what's going on real-time.

Thank You Miles!

Update 9/7
There's a News Announcement about the replay dates for the Toronto show.
The rebroadcast will debut, Saturday 9/22 at 6pm ET, and be re-aired:
*Tuesday 9/25 8pm ET
*Thursday 9/27 10am ET
*Friday 9/28 12:01am ET

It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Sounded great at the show! Couldn't believe when I got your message about cutting the show. Haven't checked the setlist, but I'm guessing you know he ended with Early Morning Rain (Lightfoot). Mac did an introduction to It's My Job, he and Jimmy did a great job with that one. On Five O'clock, Mac did the first verse, as usual. I think Jimmy forgot he does the second, the music was playing and nobody was singing. Finally Mac started singing the second verse, Jimmy finally jumped in but was laughing at himself. :D

Miles drinks are on me in Vegas! Just PM me.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Funny thing....I heard the beginning of the show and the announcement. I was getting perfectly clear reception. Maybe because it was dial-up? I'm at work!

When Chippewa got that message, we could hardly believe it. Up on the lawn, that was the best live sound I've ever heard at a JB concert....usually the RM is clearer than being there!
Thanks Miles

All in all, it was a great day!
