The five new inductees will officially join the elite
songwriting fraternity at the 38th Annual Hall of Fame
Dinner and Induction Ceremony on October 14 at the
Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Dinner and
Induction Ceremony will feature special performances of
the inductees’ songs, as well as annual awards presented
by NaSHOF’s sister organization, the Nashville
Songwriters Association International (NSAI). In addition
to presenting its Songwriter Achievement Awards
honoring the year’s best Song, Songwriter and
Songwriter/Artists, the Professional Songwriters Division
of NSAI will recognize ten songs and their writers in a list
affectionately known as “The 10 Songs I Wish I’d
Written.”
Tickets for the event are $200 each. A limited
number of seats are available to the public and may be
purchased by contacting event director Mark Ford at
hoftix@nashvillesongwriters.com or 615-256-3354.

Hey folks. I caught Mac's show at Joe's Pub on 9/19 in New York City (great show and great venue). Mac, in usual unassuming way, mentioned his nomination and that last year he supported Jimmy's induction by attending the ceremony with him; and this year Jimmy will be returning the favor and heading to Nashville with Mac to attend the award ceremony.

I am *such* a goober.
Was just reviewing George Strait's album IT JUST COMES NATURAL ... had -0- clue that he played on nearly every cut ... slap me and call me an idiot. No wonder the CD is so good. Just love Mac on MY KIND OF WOMAN ... and I AINT HER COWBOY ANYMORE ...
Did he play with George on the recent CMAs?
