Teeth Brushing Poll
When do you do your morning brush?
I've always brushed after my shower, but today I was feeling a little, uhhh, different, so I decided to brush before I got in. Mostly because I forgot to warm up the water before I peed and I needed to waste some time until my shower was hot.
It felt pretty good to shower with clean teeth and I don't feel like my daily routine has gone askew due to the change in the order of events.
When I was pregnant I used to brush my teeth in the shower because it inevitably made me toss cookies because of morning sickness and it was just more efficient to barf in the shower.
I should add, this poll assumes you bathe every day and is agnostic of when your morning meal is eaten.

I like to brush either right before or right after a shower, any time of day.
No strong preference.
(If I brush before a shower, I'm less likely to end up with emabrrassing toothpaste stains around my mouth: "Look at me! I got rabies!")

Wouldn't it have more sense to brush them over the toilet?

Wouldn't the chunks get stuck in the hair-strainer thingy and not go down?buffettbride wrote:I suppose...but it just worked better in the shower. Trust me.popcornjack wrote:buffettbride wrote:When do you do your morning brush?

I try that sometimes cause I'm not a morning person, but I just don't feel as awake, and seem somewhat out of it all day.FunkHouse9 wrote:This is also assuming that you shower in the morning. I shower before bed because I can't sleep feeling dirty and can't drag myself out of bed early enough to shower before work.
I suppose that technically this would be brushing before a shower in the morning since I don't shower till that night.

Well, if you must know, there were no chunks with morning sickness. Just bile and some dry heaving action. Sounded an awful lot like drowning a cat.SharkOnLand wrote:Wouldn't the chunks get stuck in the hair-strainer thingy and not go down?buffettbride wrote:I suppose...but it just worked better in the shower. Do you brush your teeth during the day?
I HATE the furry feeling on my teeth......so I brush a lot...even if it's just with a wet toothbrush real quick....or some mouthwash....my daughter makes fun of me because I carry a toothbrush in my purse....but I can't stand that feeling.....

And that's not to imply I think drowning a cat is funny, I just think it sounds funny, what a drowning cat must sound like, not the actual drowning of the cat. (I'm just digging myself a big hole now, aren't I?)
