Dead Guy at Foxboro on 9/8? Update:Guy survives at Foxboro!!

Post by Jose' Cuervo »

There was an earlier thread about some guy dying at the concert and causing a traffic jam leaving the stading. Has anyone got the story on this or was it a spoof?

Neither did I. There were no ambulences with their lights on at the stadium, that I could see anyway.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

The thread stated a helicopter flew in after the show, possibly to airlift him out. We saw the helicopter, but figured it was to take Jimmy to Nantucket...

It really did happen. I saw them working on the poor guy.

I heard we was airlifted but I don't know if he made it or not. I guess right after we got by. They shut everyone inside the gates for about 30 minutes until he was airlifted out.

If the poor guy died--at least he died happy. He had been to a JB concert.

And just because it wasn't in the papers doesn't mean it didn't happen. People die of heart attacks at events all the time...sadly, it's not newsworthy. If it were an unnatural death then I'm sure it would have gotten some press.

After the show what appeared to be a Coast Guard helicopter landed behind the stadium. I checked the Sun Chronicle and did not see anything. It is surprising that they had no coverage as you would have figured after Country Fest the media would have pounced over something like that.

Leaving the Northwest side of the stadium (visitors side, lighthouse end), 2 ambulances and one EMT SUV came BLASTING through, lights and sirens. They were meaning business. We didn't see anything (I figured maybe somebody fell down the stairs or something.) But something definitely was going on.

During Margaritaville. I saw them wheel a stretcher up the left side of the floor seats, but I never saw anyone come out.

That is so sad. I have to say that if it were me that had died after a JB concert- my family would know that I left this world happy and with a smile in my heart! My prayers go out to his family.

as we were leaving the back, north end, of the stadium, walked up the four flights of stairs toget to P10. As we got to the top of the stairs there were paramedics working on a guy on a stretcher, didn't look good. They shut the path down and turned allof us around and pushed the crowd coming up the stairs, back down, We saw the helicopter come over a bit later
During the show we saw a younglady takenout on a strectchef inour aisle, a3, she had good seats, throwig up, her two friends leavig withher didnt look too happy.

When we were leaving and outside the stadium trying to get through the crowd like 8 police motorcyles with lights and sirens split the crowd and held everyone back to get fire vehicles to the gate. Not sure if it was for the same thing but they were really pushing people back to get the emergency vehicle through.

Well article in tonight's Attleboro Sun Chronicle.

FOXBORO - A Jimmy Buffett fan who suffered a heart attack while leaving Saturday night's Gillette Stadium concert will survive thanks to a team effort and the stadium's medical resources.

Wow that is great that he made it! I was wondering how that would turn out. Maybe you should change the thread title since he's alive! :D
