There was a lot of discussion in this forum last year about how good John Fogerty's last tour was and how great he still sounds. This is good news for anybody who wants to check him out again...

YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe THIS coming year all the stars will be aligned and I'll be able to catch him in a concert. Seems every time he's near my area, I am either out of town or SOMETHING comes up to prevent me from seeing him perform live.

OOOOH !! He'll be in Nashville the day after my birthday !!!!!!!!
FREAKIN' WOOHOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he's performing anywhere near you, run, don't walk, to get tickets. I've seen him 4 or 5 times, great performer and a muiscal genius, in my opinion.

One music blogger reviewed the CD this way:

John's new album is a triumph, with a sound that is at once timeless yet urgently rooted in this time and place. The lyrics recall a continuous conversation with America, a reminder of John's unmatched ability to resonate with people from all walks of life. With a voice that can cut glass and inspire generations, and a band that sounds like it came to tear the roadhouse down, 'Revival' is not just a great John Fogerty album -- and a great rock album -- it's an essential musical work by an artist without peer, that will certainly stand as one of the most compelling albums of 2007.
