I agree with you, Penny. A much better role model for children than someone like AC/DC or Pantera. Wonder what that kid is going to grow up to be like...

So are you saying that parents that allow their children to listen to AC/DC or Pantera are bad parents and their children are destined to be bad?

my kid and I listened to Pantera, AC/DC, Ozzie We loved collective soul. And he's such a awful kid that he left home 2 weeks after hs graduation and went to MMI and got his Harley Mechanic Certification, a job and went to work for a dealership where's worked for almost a year now and been on his own since MMI. He's not even 21. A awful kid corrupted by that awful music.

You get the best of both worlds! :D

When do Chicago tix go on sale?

I actually enjoy watching her show with my girls, and have both cd's. My oldest did a report on her as her favorite celebrity last year. She seems like a talented young lady, with a good head on her shoulders.
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say

Which got me to thinking-- they were mentioning it on US99 this morning because Billy Ray is her dad. She is coming to do a show here.... Tickets will probably go quick--- would you pay more then face to take your brats to see her in concert?
awfully opinionated for not knowing the artist. My daughter loves her. The show is good too. Sounds like someone wants to snag up some tickets to scalp . . . hmmmmmmmm?

(Edit: I apologize. I see you called it a service but if you are going to resell tickets you should really only sell products you have knowledge in. Its safer for the service you offer.)

(....of course having seen your posts and opinions seeing you stuck with those tickets would be hilarious)
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Of course.... If I can make a couple hundred dollars on it, why not--- fast easy money.

Fast easy money to squeeze a parent who wants to show their kids a nice time . . . that's classy . . . absolutely classy.

I don't think that AC/DC attracts the same crowd that Pantera does...have you ever been to a Pantera concert? ...a rather odd comparison...

Oh yeah
Come on

You get the limo out front
Hottest styles, every shoe, every color

Yeah, when you're famous it can be kinda fun
It's really you but no one ever discovers

In some ways you're just like all your friends
But on stage you're a star

You get the best of both worlds
Chill it out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show

You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds

The best of both worlds

You go to movie premiers (is that Orlando Bloom?)
Hear your songs on the radio
Livin' two lives is a little weird (yeah)
But school's cool cuz nobody knows

Yeah you get to be a small town girl
But big time when you play your guitar

You get the best of both worlds
Chillin' out take it slow
Then you rock out the show

You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both
(You know the best) You know the best of both worlds

Pictures and autographs
You get your face in all the magazines
The best parts that you get to be who ever you wanna be

Yeah the best of both
You get the best of both
Come on best of both

Who would of thought that a girl like me
Would double as a superstar

You get the best of both worlds
Chillin' out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show

You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best,

You get the best of both worlds
Without the shades and the hair
You can go anywhere

You get the best of both girls
Mix it all together
Oh yeah
It's so much better cuz you know you've got the best of both worlds

Big Jimmy wrote: I am looking to what you would call "scalp" I call it providing a service for those who did not try hard enough to get tickets.
Well, your "customers" may be those that couldn't get the tickets because scalpers and brokers grabbed them first. It's like buying the last 45 gallons of milk then reselling them at $10.00 a gallon. Oh, you are doing a service to the people who didn't get there before you. Please, it's not a service.

Hey if you want to sell tickets at 4x the face value, no big deal. The buyers are responsible for their own education. But I do wonder if brokers, scalpers, season ticket holders, and sponsors are the cause of some people being shut out.

Either way, this kick of people you don't know as role models is silly.

Both of my kids love Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. It has nothing to do with who her Daddy is or how Cheeze his music was/is. If you watch her show, It's all about how she wants to have a normal life as a normal teenager.

I enjoy the show and "encourage" my kids to watch it. I can't see it winning an Emmy on any level, unless they add a new award for clean entertainment. The show is better than other shows on Disney(That's so Raven is the worst!!!! - IMO)

As for the scalping of tickets, How would you feel if you were the one without a ticket, all your friends had them and you didn't have the $100+ some scalper wanted for the tickets to your local Jimmy Buffett show?

I have always thought that part of "Getting it" here on BN was to be against scalpers & brokers on any level for any event. Maybe I was wrong.

I have taken my daughter to see Hannah, Aly & AJ and we are going next month to see the Jonas Bros. These groups provide a fun enjoyable atmosphere for pre-teen early teen kids. I believe anytime you can get kids involved with music you are helping them tremendously. My daughter knows the words to more Buffett songs than probably alot of people on this site.
I grew up on the 70's & 80's Hard rock and Heavy Metal and I grew up just fine, my neck is a little soar from all the head banging
