Not entirely true on two levels..Big Jimmy wrote:Ok, I don't know about any of yous at all, but brat is a name for a KID.
A) you know me - we met at the Chicago show in 2004 in the parking lot of the holiday inn before the lot opened at Tinley Park.. I believe from all the discussions in the past you know I would never call my daughters "brats" because I've only ever talked about them with love and respect
B) It's malicious intent.. to get a rise out of people who don't know any better about you.. you know it, I know it and "Sir G...." knows it.. kind of along the same lines of calling someone "white trash" ... it may or may not be true, funny to some - offensive to others.. but the intention behind the usage is often the same.. to ruffle feathers.. That being said, I've been away from this board for the better part of 18 months.. but, some things apparently never change.. except usernames that is.. and now I recall one of the reasons as to why I evacuated in the first place!

Sorry im not up into whats Hip for kiddies. ( See I did not call them BRATS). Music wise, If I listen to music on the radio -- 95% of the time its Country. Other 5 percent is either a ball game, Classic Rock, or the Traffic Reports.
So I do not know what new music is out there. Im glad I do not, because im sure its stuff that I would want to poke my eyes out with and slit my wrists.
There is nothing wrong with letting young children listen to whatever kind of music they want. ( well back in the 70s/80s--what was the worse we had KISS and Twisted Sister, maybe Motley Crue??)
Music is a form of art. If you do not let your kids experience all sorts of music, well then you are depriving them of the Arts.
Ok so you all said I am an EVIL person for liking AC/DC. And also that I am EVIL for letting an 8 year old listen to them. Grow up people its only fricking ROCK AND ROLL. They have done far less bad things then say oh THE ROLLING STONES ( DRUGGIES, BOOZERS, SLEEZEBAGS, ) Or Say even most of yous Hero-- Jimmy ( which I know many of you have named your kids after) Jimmy was a big druggie and boozer, and wrote about that stuff--- Oh But wait--- YOU LET YOUR KIDS LISTEN TO JIMMY WHILE YOUR IN THE CAR. Yeah---- I call that REALLY GOOD.
So the 8 year old wants to go see AC/DC in concert--- Thats fine with me, its not like he is going with 5 of his other 8 year old friends. I want to see them live again, and my father who is in his 60's wants to see them too.. The kids father wants go see them. and so does the childs GRANDFATHER.
So you know, we all must be really evil bad people that we would all take the child to the show, let him be surrounded by US to make sure nothing bad happened to him. It is one of his most favorite bands... Heck--a year or two ago--we took him to see Sammy Hagar in concert. A band from the Midwest called Beatallica ( Band that does Beatles songs to the tune of Metallica, was playing on the 2nd stage. I had him up there with me right in front hold him up so he could see stage level... I asked the band if he could sit on stage, and they Insisted. They gave him guitar picks, drum sticks, and even a shirt. They even let him strum a guitar for part of a song, and play on one of the drums for another part of another song too. Wow if this is Evil--- Im going to hell.
The venue had karaoke going on before the Beatallica set. The kid did AC/DCs TNT, without any help. We had people coming up to us all day long after it, asking if he was the young kid doing AC/DC. They were in awe that he knew that music, and they all gave him high 5's. ( And this is from people who are in there 60's)
So if that is so wrong... Im sorry for introducing a child to different forms of music. Oh WAIT--- Isn't that what you think you all are doing to your kids.... Just I play different music. Mostly Classic Rock and Country.

Thanks Matt. Just for that I will be buying the max amount. Oh Wait--- x2 because I have an account set up at my office too. Wow--- 16 tickets. This is gonna be a nice sweet payday for me. Thanks for making me think, I was only gonna buy 4 tickets, so Mom and Dad could take Johnny and Suzie as an early Christmas gift.

I am tending to believe you needed more hugs growing up . . . good luck with your tickets. I was never worried about you getting tickets and me not. I was more enthralled by watching you work in perfect harmony to witness what so many have told me about you.Big Jimmy wrote:mjeischen wrote:It's been a slice I gotta get some sleep so I can get some tickets for my brats first concert to see the so-called artist in December.

I have 2 people with Radio Disney who make sure my daughter is taken care of for these things. We'll be there. I'll get my tickets through ticketmaster because I don't wish to ask for too many favors and we'll be backstage as well. My daughter will be on Cloud 9 and while we are at our lunch date before the show I will explain why it is not necessary to misbehave to seek attention.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Fingers crossed for my Radio Disney connections to come through . . . if not we wait for another "First" concert experience.
Jimmy looks like those tickets will make you a nice sum of money . . . I hope the thought of your antics screwing a few good people who just want to see their kids happy here on this message board helps you sleep at night. Atleast a portion of your purchase went to charity.

While I don't agree with Big Jimmy on this, one doesn't have to buy the tickets off folks that make money off someone else's work. If he kicked 80-90 percent of his resale to the artist and the venue, then I think it would be okay.mjeischen wrote:Jimmy looks like those tickets will make you a nice sum of money . . .
