A dog adopted us...

My wife went to lunch a couple days ago with a co-worker. When they got back to her office, she opened the car door, and a dog just jumps up on her lap.
Here he is:
He stayed the first night at a co-worker's house, as they were checking pounds and shelters to see if anyone had reported a dog missing, but nothing as of yet. The co-worker didn't really have a yard or anything to keep the dog in, so we took him in.
He's got to be at least part Springer Spaniel, not sure if there's a mix in there or what, but he seems to be very young. I'll probably run him to the vet when I get a chance this weekend to see if he's tagged or whatever and have him checked out, but he seems healthy.
We've named him Marley in the meantime, and he's kinda moved into our garage while we "puppy proof" the house...
He's very mellow and friendly, especially for how young he seems.

A mellow springer spaniel pup....There is such a thing? My friend's English springer stayed "high energy" until age 3!
You have found the perfect new best friend.
Congratulations.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. My uncle used to have a springer and that dog bounced off of walls for a few years.
But this dog, while he will play until you collapse, as soon as he gets inside, he'll just lay on the floor next to you... Yeah, he's a little 'fidgety' sometimes, but as young as he seems to be, I'm chalking that up to being a puppy.
I definitely think pbans hit it on the head..... he does seem to have an 'old soul'...

Cute! My cocker spaniel when I was growing up had a "boyfriend" who looked just like him. His name was Tag. He would run outside her fence while she ran back and forth inside.

He's LOVELY!!!!! What a nice face!!!
I adore dogs - they are the bestest. We have two doggies and my kids love them.
Dogs just seem to make things complete somehow.
I'm sure he'll be a great addition to your family!
