Our Dinner with Leon Russell

In a very small club in Tacoma Washington.
Fantastic show, the man has not lost a thing.

The view from our seats.

From just right of the stage up close.

I think Connie took this one from about half way up to the stage.

Before the lights went down a pic of the mural. The stain glass windows have music notes in them just can't really see it here.
All in all a wonderfull evening. The food wasn't bad either.

Oh Don----what great seats and great pics!
I love Leon Russell, but have never seen him in concert.
Guess I need to add him to my "list"

This was my first time to see him live. Connie said she had lost count of the number of times she's seen him but this was the smallest place she'd ever done so.

WOW! Leon Russell - probably the second person I ever saw in concert - in the Forum in Los Angeles/Inglewood back in the early 70s. Good memories!

Leon is one of my favorites. He's going to be at the Big State Festival next month.
Saw him last at the community college in Waco ... in a very small venue, right by the river. He was awesome. His daughters were singing and he had a great band. Love him. Love him. Love him.
So glad ya'll got to see him up close and personal. Photos are great.

Yeah, and the Bobblehead Leon is cool too.

It was great!!!
My observations -
I've seen musicians on the "rise" in small bars and I've seen them on the "fall" in small bars. Usually on the fall they're somewhat washed up and their performance is lackluster. Not with Leon!! I'm not saying he's on his way down but let's face it - he doesn't fill convention centers that much anymore either.
He actually looks healthier than he did 15-16 years ago and appeared to get around better although his little motorized scooter/wheelchair thingie was right by the bus he walked into the club and didn't seem to need as much assistance as before. I've heard rumors of health issues for years.
I did notice his bus windows were higher than they were 25 years ago
