Likely No Buffett Aspen show in 2007--Jimmy Reconsider!!!

Hey....just heard from someone at a Belly Up meeting who said it was "very unlikely" that Jimmy was coming to Aspen in December. I guess the trip to that One Particular Harbour is taking its place this year.
I was really holding out hopes as Jimmy talked about "the annual Belly Up bash" last year, but I don't think it's too be.
It's cool that Jimmy is doing what he wants... not as cool for us that he's slowing down in touring...
Looking forward to the new DVD release...James Taylor has one that day as well that I'll be grabbing.
Peace,
Matt

I don't know if I'd be able to do it again anyway, but it sure was good times.

Possibilities getting thinner. Just got the announcement from the Belly Up about Sat. Dec 22, Seal is returning to the Belly Up.
The only open dates at this point are Tues. 18, Wed. 19 & Wed. 26 (the 25th is open, but something tells me Jimmy doesn't want to play ON his birthday.
It's not like Jimmy hasn't done an early to mid-week show in Aspen before, he has:
Mon, Dec 29, 1997
Mon, Dec 28, 1998
Wed, Dec 21, 2005
(Fri, Dec 22, 2006)
But with the dates getting fewer, and with Matt's info.....not looking good.

According to radiomargaritaville.com:
Have a great holiday break and keep your eyes open for all sorts of cool surprises in the coming weeks!
"Surprises" is plural, indicating more than one... so there may be something in the works, but who knows. He might wait until later to do it... January maybe? (Usually there's a smaller chance of a "B" in January....)

Peter is pretty booked up in Dec. although he is playing a benefit in early December. He has a Dec 21 date somewhere on the east coast I think.

Michael Utley was not in Aspen last year so it is not impossible I guess that Peter miss one. Wishful thinking?!

I think last year, Peter was playing in Memphis the night before (2 nights before maybe?) the Aspen show. We kinda wondered if he was going to make it in, given the weather conditions....

LIke a previous poster said, he came to Aspen most Christmases for a family vacation, which isn't happening this year. There was a group of celebs that gathered in Aspen every year, and for whatever reason they're not getting together.
One year ago today...what a night!
