Most all of the airports I have been in in the last few years had pretty good food. I think with the exhorbitant prices, they have had to improve quality to keep people interested. The food in Oakland and at SFO is first rate, some pretty nice restaurants at Sky Harbor and in Portland. Boston was ok too. Anchorage left a lot to be desired. Surprisingly, I wasnt impressed with the food in Amsterdam.

On TUESDAY, OCT. 10th, when I'm on my way HOME from Hawaii.
I've already had my heart broken once this year.

they also serve some great sipping tequila. The Reserva de Familia. Tho the guy looked at me like I was nuts and wouldn't serve me until I swore I wasn't going to get mad when the check came.LIPH wrote:Tequilaria (sp?) in the Cleveland airport makes some good margaritas. Other than that, I got nothing.
and they have them in Tampa, and Minneapolis too. have never tried the food, but the "for just $1 more offer" is pretty good.

From OC going east, you always end up going though Dallas, which, except for terminal D, has nothing but TGI Fridays everywhere, or maybe it is following you around.
Going down island, through Houston, is on Continental Airlines, and guess what, that airline feeds you, no really, coach too. This is a revelation.
We seem to spend a lot of time in Texas airports.
Seattle has a great airport with art and good restaurants and sometimes live music. We like the fish restaurants there.
(By avoiding United, you can avoid Stapleton. We used to love Heathrow, but since the construction, for the last 3 YEARS!! it is not good any more.) We hate San Juan.
I flew in and out of Reagan last week and was impressed! And it has great Metro service, too. I had a good breakfast but have forgotten what the place was called.
