Not a BAD season, but the hype led me to believe in more.
We are not talking about the same thing. Dice K's international revenue (source: Wallstreet Jorunal) based on merchandise and commercial sales almost doubled Ichiro's and Hideki's combined.
So, yeah, I would say that Dice (more than others with better numbers) had an influence on MLB towards the world that would add to this historic season in a manner that has never been done.

Now that the Colorado Rockies have completed the greatest finish in baseball history and is in the midst of winning 21 of 22. Again I declare...2007 is the greatest baseball season ever.
Congrats Colorado Rockies....honestly NOBODY can say you didn't earn it.
