My pholks, my wife, and I are in Key West from 7:30 am - 2:00 pm in late November. Yes this is a cruise ship stop. I guess they won't stop during the evening hours as they would probably never get the guests back on board or find them for that matter.

Anyway.......this is our first time and was wondering what you all would do with such a limited amount of time. We figured we would start with the Conch Train, but then are open from then on. Of course my wife and I will splurge and split a Becks (Scott Kirby reference for those not in the know).

Would like to see Shrimpboat Sound, but need help with accomplishing this.

Shrimpboat Studios is easy to find. Walk down Greene St. toward the Bight. You will see Kermits Key Lime Shop on your right. Directly across the street is Lazy Lane. Walk down that and just across from the small shops in a white building. Welcome to Shrimpboat Studios!! If you walk a little further, you will be at the Schooner Wharf Bar. Come in for a beer!!

Cruiseships dock in KW with the agreement that they are underway before sunset to avoid messing up the circus that is Mallory Square's Sunset Ceremony.

That said, Duval to Greene St. hang a left, walk to the water. little white building on the right (opposite of Conch Rep.), and you have seen Shrimpboat. You could also walk down Duval and Whitehead streets, knock about a bit.

I had a cruise ship stop in Key West one time. I was with my family...we just rented some bikes and rode around the island. Of course we went to Margaritaville for a drink, got our picture taken at the soutnernmost point, and rode up and down Duval street. It started pouring and we got stuck in a shop for awhile...then it was time to get back on the boat, unfortunately.

don't do the Conch Train.

Hit Louies . . . Pepe's . . . and the Schooner Warf.

You will rush but that trio is pure Key West. You will run into locals and get some old Key West lure to take home.

I lived there for about a year. These are the places you want to hit. Louies is as far away as you can get from Mallory Square but it is a quick cab ride. Not back a couple of Martinis and enjoy the view . . . then head back to Caroline Street and knock back about a half dozen Yuenglings at Louies. They are a buck a piece. The walk accross the street for some shots at the Schooner Warf. Walk back down to the cruise ship and sleep.

I believe it's nearly $35 a piece now.

Definitely have a few beers in Captain Tony's.

Dude . . . if you had 6 hours on Key West would you want to sit on the Conch Train for 70 bucks a couple?

Personally, I hate stuff like that.

And Captain Tony's is nothing more than a boutique for tourists who like Last Mango in Paris. Not trying to be argumentitive but just for conversation purposes why would anyone want to drop 5.50 for a Bud Light in that dank sh it hole?

wow. It has been pretty inflationary in the last 4 years. I don't remember paying that much, but the Conch Train does give you 100 cool facts about the Rock.

Have a drink at Hogsbreath.

We did the bicycle tour and then walked around on Duval for a while.

would it? not sure. I know I don't like Captain Tonys and 5.50 Bud Lights. I know that Tony T himself is a loser and a beggar. I know his kids don't talk to him and that he grabs female tourists because he thinks its funny. I know he way always nice to me and my crew . . . I know I sometimes feel bad for him because he still tries to make pennies off of a song written, loosely, about him a long long time ago. But as to why anyone would want to get thrown out of a bar I am not sure. Tony likes to swear. What can I say?

especially if you are on a budget. cheap wings and margaritas. a stone's throw from Duval.

Pepe's has better food and cheaper beer . . . but the food is a tad pricey.

Never got to Pepe's.. but had a nice (and a little pricey) dinner at Kelly's. YUM!
