I got my Wed. email from Margaritaville and there was a tee shirt with a credit card from the "Bank of Bad Habits" on it that looked a lot like an American Express Card... isn't that a little hypocritical of Jimmy and his organization?

Come on Jimmy it's a stinking kids group, go after all the smucks actually making a buck off your image without permission. I heard about this on the morning news, and they are laughing at the pettiness of this. Heck, Carrot Top has a better claim they Jimmy does.

Perhaps, but then I suppose that would fall under the category of the AmEx people relentlessly protecting their trademarks.

every year he loses more touch with reality and falls deeper into the celebrity and business lifestyle.this is pathetic.its a freakin' kids group. he doesnt make enough money?i know he's always been a business man but seriously what the hell does he gain or lose from this suit?how much has jimmy ripped off in his career especially the past few years. jimmy take a good look in the mirror instead of your bank account.

I'm just guessing here, as we all are since we don't know the truth. But I would say the lawyers are suing for them to stop using the name, not necessarily for money. IMO.

But don't big money makers always go after every possible "infringment"? Story in paper here (Calif.) some weeks back of Disney going after the barrio pinata makers in their garage workshops for making (sort of) Mickey look alike pinatas. The rich don't get richer by being nice.
