At one of the Vegas shows, all the BNers should wear that and see if he says anything.

How is posting in a thread devoted to the Anguilla CD/DVD "going out of my way" to complain? I'll still be purchasing it, it just appears a lot of thought didn't go into the designing process, same for the Live In.. series. And I also don't see where anyone refered to the artwork as "unoriginal". If they did, they have every right to do so, just as folks have a right to praise it. Afterall, I didn't know this was the "Jimmy Bufffett Can Do No Wrong" messageboard.Catch&Release wrote:It is official. Some people on this site go out of their way too complain.
Bitching about the picture of Jimmy and Bankie being "unoriginal"![]()
For $19.00 we're getting 2 CDs AND an 82 minute DVD. And, the sea did look that blue on that magical day in Anguilla and the CD and DVD will be worth the $20 by far.
Thanks, Jimmy! Can't wait to hear/see it in a month.

Where the hell have you been? BN's where I learned JB created the internet and invented the acoustic guitar and saves thousands of puppies and orphans every year.Tiki Torches wrote:Afterall, I didn't know this was the "Jimmy Bufffett Can Do No Wrong" messageboard.Catch&Release wrote:It is official. I'm not quite sure of your point here chum, but Anguilla is in the British Virgin Islands (still) - a bit like your US ones but further awayRinglingRingling wrote:could be the pale, pasty kind from England. That is not an 'original' shot, I can assure you!
Bankie did not play with JB on the beach, only in the venue. And there were no big 'ol microphones..
JB & Bankie are super-imposed (right term??) on the beach shot there.
And that dragon (?) thing in the background.....don't know where that came from!
All in all, I'm sure the masterminds figured this was the most eye-pleasing. I'm SO looking forward to seeing it! I have a viewing party planned for Nov. 10th!
I rest my case.
Can't dispute the need for sun
I was going to make the point that Bankie was on the left (looking from the audience, Jimmy's right) but I've been beaten to it. He was very good too, as you will see from the dvd. And there was a set behind them.
The pic is an artists interpretation ... and as for the Anguilla Buffett weekend - "don't try to describe a Kiss concert if you've never seen it.."

Artwork not bad
If JB's cover artwork was what drove me to listen and comment on him as an entertainer, I would have never gotten past Son of a Son. That had to be the more boring cover ever - and that was back when the canvas available for artwork was about 5 times what it is today.

Yep. That one or Beach House. If you're interested in interesting cover art, go buy a Journey album.SailingAlien wrote:If JB's cover artwork was what drove me to listen and comment on him as an entertainer, I would have never gotten past Son of a Son. Had to go back and look, but the "Next" album doesn't exactly fit the mold, does it?RinglingRingling wrote:the whole series prior to Frontiers?chippewa wrote:Yep. That one or Beach House. You should see them at the end of August when they all get back from their two weeks frying on a beach in Spain!
