There are many many of your fans on the southern island
who have been waiting for your for many many a year
You have promised many times you were coming
to make the aussies, very happy
On this big island, way down under
you've got many of your fans makin lots of noise
in the bars down under, we do party
but with all the broken promises, wonder why you run away
Think about, think about how many times you have promised
to visit down under, all those voices calling
what hasnt bought you out here? cause we have not forgotten ....
I have been around the world,
spending money to come see you
I can afford it no more
and I know its true, and I know its true
When you see the Southern Cross for the next time
You will understand then why you came this way
cause the fans you have been running from are so fun
cause they are as big as those, as those in the USA
So we have our phlockings while our dreams are a'dying
but the fans keep playing, keep playing and having faith
We have our club and all the fans are a'singing
that is all we have, and parrotheads is our name
So we have tried, we have begged and we have pleaded
and we never fail to fail, its just the easiest thing to do
you will keep saying that you are touring
and we will keep on hoping, not forgetting and believing you
