It's that time of year again. So, will you be getting a flu shot?
If yes, hope you enjoy it as much as this guy:

Nope. I'm sure it's helpful to those in the "high risk" category, but I'm not one of them.

And I haven't had the 'flu' for more than 10 years.

(or a cold)

I'm not getting one, but not for any great reason, I'm just used to not ever getting one. If I get the flu, it's a 3 day vacation I wouldn't normally give myself.

I got a flu shot once 14 years ago and got sicker than Ted Kennedy on the wagon.
I've never gotten once since and have been fine.
I won't get one this year either. (Or next year, or the following year, or any other year, for that matter).

We get them free at work, I'm all about the free stuff.

Gee, my allergy shots don't hurt at all.
Haven't had a flu shot, or the flu in over 20 years. Doctors think I should consider it and I may start taking them again since I am back in the schools and a bit more vulnerable.

Free every year for the past 15 years, I work with "sick" people, this year won't be any different, definitely getting one.

I'll pass.
I'm one of those lucky ones that rarely get sick, other than the monster hangover kind of sick.

My allergy shots weren't very painful either. However there was more "stuff" to inject. The flu shot is over before you know it. And you don't need to sit and wait for 20 minutes.
I get them free where I used to work too

Only time I ever re-enter the old workplace. I think I'll try to visit the dispensary today....

Got one earlier this week, mostly cause my mom always tells me to!

Always get one.
The one year I didn't, I got the flu.
It was the worst thing I ever went through - thought I was gonna die.
I'll never skip again.

My mom and I both got the flu in '98. She happened to be on the transplant unit at Sloan-Kettering and she passed away. I had never been so sick in my life and swore I would always get a flu shot. Especially now that I'm working with disease-ridden kids who come to school when they should have stayed home.
Some people say they have had the flu when they really just had a bad cold. Having the flu means you can barely lift your head off the pillow and getting out of bed to pee is a struggle to stay upright. I never want to feel that way again.

Never have gotten a shot before . . . no need to get one now.

I used to get the flu every year. Sick for about 4 days and felt poorly for another week afterward. Since I started getting shots about 7 years ago, I haven't had the flu once.

No because every time I get the shot, I get the flu.

I will get one when I take my daughter to get one. She's in a "high risk" category so I'll do it to give her moral support.
