Just got home after watching them tonight in Columbus, Ohio. They played for about 2 1/2 hours and what a fantastic show. Would I recommend seeing them? YES! Would I go see them again? YES! They played at Nationwide Arena where Columbus Bluejackets of the NHL play and before the show Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO) announced that $1.00 from every ticket sold goes to local charity in every city they play. Our concert yielded the local charity $21,000. The local charity was Buckeye Farm. They played two shows in Columbus so the local charity received a big donation.

Christmas music to a rock beat is not something you see everyday and was the main reason we went. The light and laser show in beat with the music was an added bonus. The only negative comment I have about the show was several times during the show the bright stage lights shined in our eyes. Going from dark lighting to having bright lights shining in your eyes did take away from enjoying it all, however I must say this only happened about 6 times in the entire 2 1/2 hours.

Hope this helps.

I went to see them a couple of weeks ago and it was really cool. The first 1.5 hours were great. Then I thought it got a little cheesy and obnoxious for 45 minutes or so when they got away from the Christmas music a little bit and (who I assume to be) the main guy started talking like he was a rock star. Then the last couple songs were great again. I'm glad I stuck around because the finale was pretty awesome. I enjoyed myself a lot but I'd have been a lot happier if they had cut out the nonsense in the last hour.

Alex Skolnik from TSO (and formerly of Testament and Savatage) was in my restaurant 2 nights ago!!! He was in town with his new band, the Alex Skolnik Trio...they do jazz renditions of classic heavy metal songs...

Does anyone know if the commercial on TNT for the NBA playoffs uses a song TSO plays every year, off the yet to be released album they have been working on for about 3 years

your question is confusing...

They sing a song that they said will be on that album every year in Cleveland that sounds like the backgound music for the commercial

OK....yeah, they have songs together...but I very much doubt that it is the same song.

My daughter dragged me to their last show in SLC and I have to admit that I was really surprised how good of show they put on. Yes, it was loud (that's what earplugs are for) and a little long given that this was my first exposure to their music. Depending on when they come again and how much the tickets are, I would definitely go again.

Saw them for the 2nd time last Sunday night. Once again they rocked the house. But as always, they might not be for everyone. We saw a few people, mainly older folks, leave after the half.

Robin great to see you again. I would say Robin Thompson but that has

changed.

Wonderful band and performance. We had most of the original people for

our show. I was very happy.

That's the problem with an "Orchestra" rather than a band. No "permanent" members. Have to deal with a lot of different people's schedules.

The TSO is coming to Knoxville on the 22nd, so I think I may go see them. If I'm not working the concert I can get in free.
