"Regular swearing at work can help boost team spirit among staff, allowing them to express better their feelings as well as develop social relationships, according to a study by researchers.....banning swear words and reprimanding staff might represent strong leadership, but could remove key links between staff and impact on morale and motivation."

No.
Call me old fashioned, but I don't do it and I don't like to hear it. For some reason it grates on the ears in a work setting (unprofessional).
But you can also call me a hypocrite, because at home, as my wife and kids will testify, when sh$t happens, I let 'er rip.

When I worked in manufacturing, it was part of the culture on the floor. When in Rome... Now when I am in the office, I do not swear. I use words like pumpkin head and rocket scientist al lot. I think people know what I really mean. I also take the Ned Flanders approach when really mad. When in the field, I try not to swear, but depending on the audience sometimes it slips.

No swearing at work for me.
But I spend all of my time in front of the paying customers. I've made it a habit of being professional in front of them. It'd be OK in the kitchen, but I just don't....in case some day I forget where I'm standing.
