Galleon Resort Key West

Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed here. We are staying here for MOTM and we have a efficiency. Most of the reviews that I have read about the place were good except some of the reviews about the room style we have were pretty bad. I called and talked to someone who assured me that the rooms had just been rennovated and they are all in good shape. Just wondering if anyone has stayed here and might be able to provide some feedback.

Used to work the Tiki bar that they have. Steve, the bar "owner"--he rents it from them--is cool and they get a lot of locals, and they have the best, and i mean THE BEST sunset view on the island. For the rooms, I got nothing, but the location is great, GREAT, GREAT!!

They have recently renovated some rooms. But they are small. But the location makes up for it.

My husband and I stayed in an efficiency room at the Galleon two years ago. It is small but very, very nice. Yes, it doesn't have a view. Yes, it is small. But the amenities at the resort are well worth it. Plus, you're not in your room that much anyway, so we didn't find it to be a problem. Our room had a microwave, small wet bar and the furnishings were beautiful. And you can't beat the location for those late night stumbling trips home. We loved it so much that we bought a week there and will be using our timeshare for the first time next spring. You will love it! Do not worry! As a matter of fact, I'm jealous! Have a great time!

I used to work a dive boat at the Galleon (Reef Raiders). I think it's a great place. A few steps from Duval street.
