Got a good number for Glenn, but it's going straight to voice mail.

Fire and police have asked people in SoCal to stay off their cells, so maybe he's shut it off.

We have lots of other areas affected in SoCal, and lots of friends too.

Yes, Carlsbad is roughly where the 78 and 5 meet, in that shaded area.

in the upper left hand corner of the evacuation area. but as of noon pacific time, Gary Seiler posted on his website that Carlsbad was not yet under evacuation

Just spoke to Glenn...he's been in Vegas missing all the fun.
his son is at his house and all is well.
He's on his way home and will keep posted.

And another fire is going now....in Stevenson Ranch, which is just north of Magic Mountain. VERY densely populated area...the houses are basically zero lot lines.

LA County...it's on that stretch that is the reason why I can't get home. Fires burning on both sides of the 5...Saugus, Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic....

If you can picture the area where they had that tunnel fire a week or so ago? It's the stretch north of that, and south of the infamous "Grapevine", the mountain pass that divides the state, as well as east and west of that area. Castaic is where they had the 108 mph wind gusts.
