I'm not sure what to type here, because I am feeling extreme sorrow for the family. I want to say that I hope our government does what it should for this family and make sure that they have the resources they need to recover, but my (albeit scant) understanding of our poor support for our soldiers tells me that they will continue to struggle even more as a result of this unfortunate tragedy. Sorry for my soapbox, but I personally feel that we (as a formalized nation) treat our soldiers poorly and without the respect that they deserve. My prayers are with the family. I'm certain God had a reason for this, although I am at a loss for understanding at this point.

I pray that the family is able to cope with and understand this situation. Prayers continue to the the little one struggling to hold on.

Sorry again about my soap box. I think it is deplorable that our nation treats volunteers like trash when they have sustained extreme physical and mental wounds because they were ASKED to do so. I am extremely grateful that they do this so that my children may continue to live in a place where they can continue to assume that food, safety, and a roof over their heads are a "given."
