Tailgating?

Im driving down from Chattanooga to the Tampa show this saturday and this is going to be my 4th Buffett show. Though, I have never tailgated before. So I was just wondering about whats a good time that I should get there. I know i guess it just depends on how long I want to be there, but for just hanging out with friends and grillin out and stuff, whats a good time i should show up? thanks
