That was an awesome song to see and here live! My husband are in the dvd twice during this song. We both have long blonde hair. Look closely and you'll get a smooch from me.conched wrote:It sure is nice to have such a quality recording of Desperation Samba and all the other songs "LIVE."
Pirate Looks at Forty/Redemption Song gave me chills! WOW!!
I do miss all the Jimmy "talk" in between songs tho. Seems to be very little chat by Jimmy, so I assume much of it was edited out. The live CD is missing "something," but the DVD is about the best you could ever ask for.
(Funny how you listen for those thank yous and oks and alrights and all the little extra comments...)

I totally know which couple you're talking about, and saw the kiss!! Just didn't realize it was you!! Cool!!
I'm glad you made it to that one! You're probably thrilled he played so close to home!!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say

I for one like the fact that a lot of talking between songs has been edited out and it just flows into the next song.
It's done nicely.

I thought the same thing.firemedic wrote:In the opening video on the DVD it appears that Jimmy has a tattoo on his chest. Does anyone know what it is?
It is actually a t-shirt under his open shirt!
I noticed that smooch while watching. Way to go, Minty and hubby.Minty wrote:That was an awesome song to see and here live! My husband are in the dvd twice during this song. Oh to have been there.........we have decided not to miss another chance like that again. (given there will be another). I watched the DVD twice and then realized our surround wasn't set to the 5:1. What a difference that made. Now I have to watch it again. My kids think I'm nuts!
BTW, a great book to read is "A Trip to the Beach" by Mel and Robert Blanchard. It is about their life decision to leave the states and move to Anguilla. Maybe some of you lucky ones made it there to eat???
Bottom line, loved all the discs.
