Pirate Looks at Forty/Redemption Song gave me chills! WOW!!
I do miss all the Jimmy "talk" in between songs tho. Seems to be very little chat by Jimmy, so I assume much of it was edited out. The live CD is missing "something," but the DVD is about the best you could ever ask for.
(Funny how you listen for those thank yous and oks and alrights and all the little extra comments...)
That was an awesome song to see and here live! My husband are in the dvd twice during this song. We both have long blonde hair. Look closely and you'll get a smooch from me.
Hey Minty!!
I totally know which couple you're talking about, and saw the kiss!! Just didn't realize it was you!! Cool!!
I'm glad you made it to that one! You're probably thrilled he played so close to home!!
Boy, were we thrilled he came close to home! $142 round trip airfare.
Durning Changes and Latitudes, you can also see me blowing the Conch Shell. LOL
When are coming to visit us in St. Thomas??? Would love to meet fellow parrotheads.

Minty, you blow a mean conch shell. That was awesome!! All those Anguilla folks got conched!!!!
Summerlover, I've read the book, Back to the Beach and loved it. So the Blanchards are still there? Cool.
sonofabeach, I am listening to a replay of Tampa from Nov 3 and I plan to edit out that person who kept yelling..."We love you, Jimmy!"

That is so annoying!!
I also think the edit job for Anguilla was good, but just not what I'm used to hearing. They move right along from song to song quite nicely.

Conched, I swear that's not me. Although at my first Buffett show ever I may have been guilty of some similar drunken rantings.
Is it just me of does Bankie's voice seems to have that "I just smoked a big fat @ss doobie" raspyness to it compared to the studio version of the song?

Or how about, "I just did a few shots of Silver Patron!!"

I think Bankie was sitting up in his crow's nest in the VIP section doing a little smoking during the show.

I've stated it in the cafe but I believe this is one of the best/crisp live recordings I've heard. To hear some of the rare gems that have been captured is great.
When getting to the end of the 2nd disc with the Beach set I'm kind of bummed by "piped in" waves crashing sound. It kind of cheapens it in a way. I liked it as it transitioned from the concert recording to the Beach recording and it made sense but between beach set songs as a buffer was just odd.
