BUT we're still waiting for it! Ugh. every time I pass a Best Buy I want to go in and get a copy but that would be rude. Hoping it will be there today despite Amazon saying we'll have it by Nov 13th.

That is just SO wrong.
I'll never pre-order anything from Amazon again after waiting for my last Harry Potter book. As it turned out, I was rereading the 6th book so I wasn't ready...but that still isn't right.
I've gone out and bought if I could find locally after waiting on Amazon, but sometimes I can't find Buffett stuff locally. Always makes a nice gift for someone when I buy double.
I am so happy Mailboat came through on this one again...

Picked it up last night.
The whole show is wonderful but that beach set left me speechless!
Jimmy and the CRB unplugged on the beach - well that's just the coolest thing I've EVER seen and in hindsight, I would have paid whatever it took to be there.
And I think Jimmy sounded better than ever. It was just perfect
Jimmy, we'll be at you next "backyard show!"

well done as always Mr. Buffett

Just to clarify about the unplugged beach concert - that was totally not announced, and even of those of us who were there, most of us missed it. The regular show was more than amazing however, as was the scenery!!

Missing the acoustic show on the beach was the only bummer about our Anguilla experience. That night when we heard about the beach show it was a huge disappointment to have missed the show on the beach.
Oh well. The main concert was still amazing. I got to shake Jimmy's hand and we sat next to his table at breakfast on the morning of the show. We had a great experience but missing that concert on the beach still stings badly.
We were about 15 to 20 feet from the center of the stage most of the show so I am hoping we got some face time on the video. The show was indescribably great well, cept for the drunk/stoned guy behind us who spent half the show trying to dry h*mp anyone within his arm's reach including my fiancee who is only 5'2" tall.
The video will be interesting, to say the least!
For those of you on Myspace:
Here's a pic showing where we were. I am the tall guy in the white, long sleeve T and my girl is in the tan hat.

The pic in my avatar is only one of the few shots I got of Jimmy where the mic wasn't in my way.
It was an amazing weekend.

I bought that from Amazon.com and did NOT opt for the release date delivery (so shipping was free), but they still delivered it on the release date, and gave me a $5 coupon for use on a later purchase for buying it from them. Guess I bought when they were guaranteeing the delivery date. :

DEZ, I kinow they delivered to many many many on time. I just don't think they can always do what they say.
I ordered by clicking on the "guaranteed to deliver on date!!" But, live and learn. They have come through a lot of times for me and like I say it worked out ok, but I think they just made lots of mistakes with that Potter release and it sounds like NOV 13 is a far cry from the release date for the Anguilla release.

:sigh:
First hearing about a show in Anguilla... how cool would that be?
First hearing dawgfan won the trip to it... completely cool!
First hearing about the impromptu acoustic show on the beach... frickin cool!
Reading the recaps on BN... sounded even cooler than imagined!
Hearing Miles read the BN recaps on RM... even cooler yet!
First hearing a DVD/CD combo would be released... couldn't wait!
Listening to the show... :sigh:
Seeing and hearing the beach show... :heavy heavy sigh: Nothing could be cooler!
Seeing and hearing the Dunes show, and the surrounding scenery... man oh man!! The trip wasn't in the cards, so there's not much I can do about that. But I am so grateful to Jimmy and Mailboat for providing a glimpse of how amazing it would have been! Watching it at home will never compare to the feelings of being fortunate enough to be there, but you do get a pretty good idea of what those feelings were by seeing the expressions on the faces in the crowd and on the stage... super cool!!
Although I don't think my use of the word "cool" is a very good choice, because I could almost feel the heat from seeing the sweat glistening on Jimmy's arms, and his soaking wet shirt and hat! But still!
I'm still so happy for all of you who were there... and the DVD is a great keepsake for all of you! (especially the Jen's! I didn't see anyone nearly as much as I saw them... and they both were beaming happiness the entire time!!)
:sigh:
(I think today's the day to apply for a passport.)

Westway001,
Thanks for reposting the pic in an accessible link. I need to reset the Myspace settings.
Tiki Bar,
Get that passport ASAP! You never know when you'll get a chance to run away somewhere fun. We just lucked out that my week was clear and with some straining, we made it work.
One of the best parts about the trip was meeting so many very cool parrotheads including the half dozen BN members we talked to at the Frangipani party. It was a fantasy weekend for Buffett fans, no doubt.

i watched the dvd last night, only way to describe it is WOW!
THE BEACH BAND WAS AMAZING. while watching it, i honestly had goosebumps, thinking to myself "i cant imagine being there"
jimmy at his best, great set. it was soooo nice to get a dvd/cd with songs other than SYKBH.
i put forth a half-hearted effort at going to anguilla when the show was announced....kicking myself for not going now!
great dvd...much better than anything else he has released.

I think this is the best live CD he has ever put out. The sound quality is the best quality I have heard from any Jimmy live album. In my mind this beats Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Neither... Hawaii and Vegas, no passport, no problem!

I preordered from Amazon, too and just received a shipping notification from them on Monday that it shipped. I received my copy from Mailboat on Saturday, though.
Hopefully, you'll get yours soon!

It's really great!
Wow! Amazon (and USPS) delivered mine right on 11-6!!

Maybe Keith should re-tell his story of how he and his wife were waiting in the driveway for FedEx to bring their passports so they could leave for the airport!

Ya just never know when you might need/want one!

I deliberately left my passport at home when I left for MOTM because I knew some of my favorite singer/songwriters were going from KW to Sonora Mexico for a songwriters' deal next weekend. I didn't need the temptation....

Hi Creeky. That was me on the DVD! You sent us the shirts a few years back when my son was studying at the University of Queensland. (Thanks again) And so glad your artwork made the dvd! What a great day, that day in Anquilla, and what a great DVD-CD.
PS And caught LIPH on the DVD as well!
